GITEX to showcase Türkiye’s technology ecosystem, infrastructure and long-term ambitions to an international audience while connecting AI entrepreneurs

Türkiye is stepping up efforts to attract global technology investors, entrepreneurs and artificial intelligence startups as it prepares to host the GITEX AI technology exhibition in Istanbul later this year, the head of the country’s Investment and Finance Office said.

Speaking at the GITEX AI Europe 2026 event in Berlin, Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu said Türkiye is positioning itself as a regional hub for technology entrepreneurship through policies designed to draw international capital and talent.

Türkiye will host the GITEX AI exhibition in September, marking the launch of the event’s Turkish edition in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Technology. The Berlin gathering serves as a precursor to the Istanbul event.

Dağlıoğlu said the event will provide an opportunity to showcase Türkiye’s technology ecosystem, infrastructure and long-term ambitions to an international audience while connecting AI entrepreneurs with global investors and customers.

He said entrepreneurs from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, North Africa, Pakistan and Bangladesh are increasingly choosing Türkiye as a base to expand their businesses.

Dağlıoğlu said the September event is expected to bring together multinational technology companies, corporate executives, startup founders and international AI investors, describing it as a potential milestone for Türkiye’s technology ecosystem.

He also argued that Türkiye offers a more flexible business environment than many European countries, where regulatory and administrative procedures can slow innovation.

Türkiye’s industrial capabilities, manufacturing base and ability to rapidly commercialize technology products make it an attractive destination for startups seeking international growth, he claimed.

More than 800 exhibitors from 80 countries participated in GITEX AI Europe 2026, held in Berlin from June 30 to July 1. Türkiye was represented through a national pavilion organized by the Investment and Finance Office, with companies showcasing AI-powered solutions in e-commerce, predictive analytics, weather intelligence and digital transformation.
