EV ecosystem covers more than 105,000 users, a nationwide charging network and expansion into the European market
Türkiye’s homegrown electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Togg is marking its eighth anniversary after building an ecosystem that includes more than 105,000 users, a nationwide charging network and expansion into the European market.
Founded on June 25, 2018, through a partnership involving Anadolu Group Holding, BMC, Turkcell, Zorlu Holding and the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), Togg grew its domestic footprint with 22 experience centers and 76 service locations across Türkiye.
The company unveiled prototypes of its first electric SUV, the T10X, in December 2019. After announcing pricing in March 2023, Togg received about 177,000 preorder applications for the model. (By the way I have a story here about Togg)
Togg accounts around for 25% of Türkiye’s EV market
Togg expanded its lineup with the T10F fastback, first introduced at CES 2024 before launching in Türkiye and Germany in September 2025. Both the T10X and T10F have earned five-star safety ratings from Euro NCAP.
The automaker accounted for 25% of Türkiye’s electric vehicle market during the first five months of 2026, selling a combined 16,745 units of the T10X and T10F, according to the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD). The T10X led sales with 9,070 units, while the T10F recorded 7,675 deliveries.
Production at the company’s Gemlik Technology Campus, which opened in October 2022, increased domestic content levels to 81.72% for the T10X and 83.9% for the T10F, up from an initial rate of 51%.
The company has continued expanding its software and technology offerings, recently introducing its Can.ai artificial intelligence platform, developed with Microsoft Türkiye, alongside a major update to its proprietary TruOS operating system aimed at improving user experience and system performance.
Togg receives digital orders for its dual-motor, all-wheel-drive 4More
Late last year, Togg began accepting digital orders for its dual-motor, all-wheel-drive 4More variants, broadening its premium vehicle portfolio.
Its charging subsidiary, Trugo, has also expanded its presence across Türkiye, operating about 2,000 charging stations and completing more than 5 million charging sessions. The network, powered entirely by renewable energy, holds a 27.3% share of the country’s charging infrastructure market.
Togg’s production growth and rising sales also lifted the company nine places to 28th in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry’s 2025 ranking of Türkiye’s 500 largest industrial enterprises.
