SICPA Türkiye reveals Türkiye’s ancient history and cultural heritage in 17 languages via an app

Audio-guided support for visitors in 17 languages through a mobile app

SICPA Türkiye, serving 84 locations at museums and archaeological sites affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, the National Palaces, and the Gallipoli Area Directorate, has brought its audio-guided support for visitors into the digital realm. The company now offers audio guide services in 17 different languages, including sign language, at 42 museums and heritage sites, ranging from the Topkapi Palace to Ephesus, Gobekli Tepe to the Galata Tower, and from Mount Nemrut to Patara.

Through Museums of Türkiye app, both local and foreign visitors can listen to detailed information about the museum or heritage site they are currently visiting in their own language. The language options vary depending on the visitor profile of the specific site. Sign language support is also provided through specially prepared videos. (By the way I have a story here about Turkey’s AI ecosystem)

Tourists learn details about museums and heritage sites they visit

The digital audio guide service can easily be used through the Museums of Türkiye app, available for download on mobile devices. Currently, the service is offered in Turkish and sign language, as well as in English, German, French, Chinese, Arabic, Japanese, Russian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Ukrainian, Persian, Korean, and Dutch. This service enables both domestic and international visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the history and culture of the sites they are visiting, helping them learn important details about the museums and heritage sites in a more informed manner.

Let me add that SICPA is founded in 1927 in Switzerland, while the Turkish office introcued in 2007. The company provides technological services and solution packages that enable the prevention of unregistered, counterfeit, and smuggled products by developing customized solutions in the areas of tracking products in the supply chain and distinguishing between counterfeit and genuine products in the area of brand and product security.
